OrderBeam
OrderBeam is a Laravel integration I built alone for zweitliebe.de, which sells on Shopify and runs its back office in Shopware. A scheduled command pulls paid Shopify orders, maps customers, countries, taxes, tips and discounts, and creates the orders in Shopware; a second pass reads Shopware tracking numbers and creates Shopify fulfillments. A super-admin dashboard runs the same sync by hand, and the integration is live.

What it does
- Scheduled sync command with full, tracking-only, look-back and queued modes.
- Order mapping with customer get-or-create, country and tax resolution and SKU article lookup.
- Tips as a separate taxed line ('Trinkgeld').
- Discounts and coupons from Shopify discount allocations.
- Tracking back-sync creating Shopify fulfillments.
- Single-order test command for safe dry runs.
- Super-admin dashboard with manual sync, per-order push and tracking sync.
How it is built
- A Laravel app with one service class for the whole flow: fetch paid orders from Shopify GraphQL, store them as local order rows with sync logs, build and send the Shopware payload, and later read tracking from Shopware and fulfil in Shopify. A cron-driven artisan command and the admin dashboard call the same code paths.
My part
- Built the Shopify GraphQL and Shopware REST clients and the order mapping.
- Added tip, tax and discount handling as the client requested.
- Built the artisan commands, the test-order command and the admin dashboard.
Decisions
- Store Shopify orders locally with sync logs before pushing to Shopware.
- Make manual dashboard triggers run the same code as the scheduled job.
- Add a single-order test command for safe trials against the live shops.
