Ludonix ↔ Shopify connector
Freelance work from 2024 that connects a Shopify store to the Swiss fulfilment platform Ludonix, delivered into the client's own repository. I wrote a Lumen service that pulls a Shopify store's products, variants and images into staging tables, creates Ludonix articles for new SKUs with GTINs and millimetre dimensions, and updates them when variants change. New Shopify orders arrive through an HMAC-checked webhook and are mapped to Ludonix orders. The client's developer added the Docker setup.

- Integration · E-commerce: Shopify ↔ 3PL fulfilment API
- Role
- Freelance developer of the integration; the client's developer added the Docker setup.
- Built with
- PHP, Lumen, MySQL, Shopify Admin REST API, Shopify webhooks (HMAC), OAuth2 client credentials
- Also uses
- Docker
- Last active
- 2024
What it does
- Pull Shopify products, variants and images into staging tables.
- Queue only new SKUs for Ludonix.
- Create Ludonix articles with name fallback, emoji stripping, GTIN and millimetre dimensions.
- Update articles for changed variants.
- HMAC-verified order webhook mapped to Ludonix orders, with country-code conversion.
How it is built
- Shopify products are pulled into MySQL staging tables, new SKUs are queued and pushed to the Ludonix API as articles (OAuth2 client credentials); a verified Shopify order webhook maps orders to Ludonix. Runs in the client's container setup.
My part
- Built the product pull, filter and article create/update flow.
- Built the HMAC-verified order webhook and mapping to Ludonix orders.
Decisions
- Verify the Shopify webhook HMAC before accepting orders.
- Deliver into the client's repository and containers.
Skills
- Shopify to 3PL integration
- Webhook security (HMAC verification)
- OAuth2 API clients
